Self-care is essential to stay feeling my best. Today I am sharing some tips on how to accomplish this and embrace your inner zen.
Favorite products: These things make self care so much easier and it helps to keep them all at hand so you don’t have to lose your chill trying to find the stuff you want to help you relax (totally defeats the purpose).
Essential Oil Diffuser, for people who don’t know what this is, it’s basically a heaven-sent machine that you fill with water and a few drops of essential oils. You turn it on and it vaporizes and fills the room with beautiful scents. The fact that it is so calming to look at is a bonus. If you are looking to buy one for yourself or a loved one, D
Ice roller: I used this on my boyfriend once and he thought I was crazy BUT it is weirdly soothing to me and eventually warms up as you roll it on your face. It’s basically what it sounds like, a face roller that you freeze.
Music: These two playlists never fail to send me to a better place.

Taking an extreme shower: A term I coined for a shower that involves exfoliating, deep conditioning my hair, and moisturizing after. My favorite exfoliator at the moment is
Whitening my Teeth: I know this may seem strange but whitening my teeth is self-care to me. My teeth get stained cause I drink way too much coffee and it is not a cute look. My
Meditation: I have not been a big meditator until recently. I would always keep my eyes wide open during meditation in yoga classes. But, lately I have been meditating through the Bellabeat app. This changes the game for me because they have different categories and something that fits for everyone. I use Bellabeat with my Leaf Chakra which tracks my progress and tells me how I am doing at the end. I would highly recommend this to people with busy schedules, taking ten minutes a day to unwind through meditation is the ultimate form of self-care, and is a small thing that actually does make a big difference.
Let’s make it a priority to always take care of ourselves, and remember that self-care is not selfish.
