I’m the first to say I’ve been both moved at the unity fellow allies have shown and disheartened by how much hatred and ignorance still lives on in our 2020 world. I’m writing this post because it is my goal to use my platform to keep up the momentum for anti-racism after the news cycle. I want to encourage everyone to not move on, continue holding themselves and the people in their lives accountable, continue to take action and do the work. I saw a quote that read,
If you are tired of hearing about racism, imagine experiencing it.
This inspires me to continue in the fight against racism more than anything. Last week I published a post on “How to be an Ally,” and I found it very appropriate to write this to go alongside that sharing all of the resources I have found since then. I have learned new things every day that are worthy of sharing.
Find How to Take Action
A kind follower shared with me a google drive that is updated currently every five minutes, here you will find petitions that still need signatures as well as where to make donations, places to call and email to demand justice. I found this resource to be incredible and you can access it by clicking here.
Information on Protests and other Ways to Help
Again thank you to the supportive follower that gave me this link, https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/ here you will find more information on protests and resources surrounding them.
Books to Read
Films and TV series to watch
Cultivating positivity during these trying times has been a challenge, but I trust in God that there will be brighter days ahead. If you have any other information or resources to share my DMS are always open, and I would love to update this post with any other current suitable information.
